Assembly Festival approves TPA’s addition to the Christmas table.
The curator of some of the most exciting shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival extended its partnership with TPA for the city’s Christmas markets.
Assembly Festival has been working with TPA for 10 years now, including summer events and the Christmas markets and Hogmanay events for the past three years.
Last Christmas (2025), TPA supplied panels for new area of West Gardens, where Terraroad mats for heavy loads like vehicles and machinery up to 600 psi were swapped for MaxiTrack, the medium-duty plastic trackway that provides support for medium to heavy loads.
As well as the MaxiTrack panels, TPA products included the lightweight interlocking Zappmats, which are suitable for pedestrian walkways and light-duty roadways, heavy-duty aluminium panels, Terraroad plastic panels and ramps, and Traxpanel.
The panels were used for ground protection in a variety of situations. Majority were used on hard standing surfaces to aid weight distribution, on grass and soft surfaces for ground protection purposes and tree root protection, and for allowing access to otherwise hard to access areas.
Assembly Festival’s chief operating officer Nik Whybrew said: “The TPA products performed very well and delivered in a variety of situations. We have a well-established and excellent working relationship with the TPA delivery team, and we all know how best to realise our objectives.
“We have expanded the products used, as different products present different solutions, and we enjoy having new products brought to the table when available.”
He added: “The challenges typically are access times and prep space, but the flexibility provided by TPA and their willingness to work with us to find solutions to the challenges is one of the reasons we have worked with them for so long. We value TPA as a supply partner and very much believe in the products, and the solutions provided.”
TPA sales representative Andrew Thomson said: “Being so central in Edinburgh, it’s a challenge getting the big trucks in without disturbing traffic and pedestrians.
“TPA’s experienced team carried out a detailed site survey to understand access routes and any restrictions. From this, a clear delivery plan was created to ensure the equipment was delivered and installed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption.
It is a privilege to support Assembly Festival on such a prestigious, world-renowned event.”
