TPA achieves FORS Silver

TPA have been awarded FORS Silver accreditation for higher standards of fleet transport management 

First awarded FORS accreditation back in 2015, TPA then went onto achieve Silver in 2019. They have maintained this standard every year since. Tim Stansbury, Transport Manager for TPA, explains below exactly what this means for the temporary access solutions specialists and their customers.

What exactly is required to achieve FORS Silver?

FORS undertake robust audits of the systems; procedures and documentation to ensure TPA meet or exceed the specific exacting standards required. At Silver level, TPA are required to ensure vehicles are fitted with additional safety equipment, and that drivers and management have undertaken specific additional training over and above the minimum legal requirements.

How have TPA met or exceeded the requirements?

TPA have demonstrated dedication to driver and vehicle safety through enhanced driver training and equipment specification. Alongside improving operating practices through effective monitoring of fuel and tyre usage, vehicle maintenance and fleet performance management.

What does this mean for TPA as a business?

Achieving FORS Silver establishes TPA as a company who prioritise the importance of delivering to a high standard, including:

FORS is a voluntary accreditation scheme that allows TPA to demonstrate being a high performing fleet operator who goes above and beyond legal safety and environmental requirements. FORS Silver accreditation also shows compliance with multiple guidelines, such as:

  • Construction Logistics and Community Safety (CLOCS)
  • Transport for London’s Work Related Road Risk (WRRR)
  • Direct Vision Standard requirements.
