TPA panels help celebrate a Coronation

11 Sep

Introduction

Beaulieu’s annual Spring Autojumble welcomed 13,000 visitors and exhibitors back to the grounds of the National Motor Museum in Hampshire over a sunny weekend in May.

Marking 2023 as a landmark coronation year, a special line-up of classic cars that were launched in 1953 celebrated the last time Britain crowned its monarch, 70 years ago. Taking pride of place was a Triumph Mayflower and an Aston Martin DB2. Also turning heads was a line-up of Rolls-Royces and Bentleys from the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club, complemented by a selection of Morgans from the Morgan Sports Car Club.

The project

For the second of a three-year contract with Beaulieu Enterprises Ltd, which has held its renowned Spring Autojumble for almost three decades now, temporary trackways were required in the tight spaces in between marquees to save the ground from vehicle and pedestrian movements among the 1,000 stand spaces.

Challenge

To be honest, there wasn’t one. TPA have supplied this event for several years now, so we have installation down to a fine art … and in almost half the time it took when we started!

Solution

We supplied heavy duty aluminium panels for the event which were installed a couple of days beforehand and were dismantled over a couple of days after it.

Client comment

Beaulieu events manager Charlotte Mountain said: “We really like the staff who TPA send to do the set up and break-down. They know exactly what they are doing, and they are very good with us as well if we need additional panels or have to make tweaks to plans making it one less thing for us to worry about!”
